Please join me at the IDC’s Asia/ Pacific CIO Summit in Singapore this September!

It is time to Reform, Re-Invent , Revitalize and Win!

According to recent IDC predictions, Asia/ Pacific firms will spend $154 billion on IT in 2008. This year’s IDC CIO Summit 2008 will explore spending patterns, best practices and IDC’s top ten IT trends ahead while we reflect on the strategic innovations made over the past year in our region .

On behalf of my colleagues, Frank Gens, Senior Vice President & Chief Analyst of IDC , Claus Mortensen, Principal of Asia/Pacific Emerging Technologies Advisory Services, and the team at IDC Asia/ Pacific Emerging Technologies Council, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us and other selected CIOs from across various industry practices to the IDC’s Asia/ Pacific CIO Summit. At this summit we will explore innovative IT reform strategies and plans, discuss adjustment of corporate policies and look into cutting edge enterprise architectures through adoption of emerging IT products and trends.

Some exciting key issues that will be covered at this fast paced Summit will include:

1. Top Ten Innovative Projects in 2007

2. Emerging Technologies Review

3. Keeping the “Fear Factors” at bay and improve enterprise IT operational efficiencies

4. The impact of collaboration, Web 2.0 and social computing

One definite session that should not be missed at this summit : the announcement of IDC’s 2008 Dynamic IT benchmark survey results!

If you have participated in the Dynamic IT Benchmark Survey earlier this year, I would like to personally invite you to sit in on this session to gather learning on current reforms implemented by your peers in Asia/ Pacific. Only the top 20% of best practices in our region will be highlighted with insightful reports and details on priorities, viewpoints of emerging practices and IT trends shared with every CIO at the IDC CIO Summit 2008.
